Pearl Jam box set: Vs., Vitalogy and more

A Pearl Jam box set due later this year will feature reissues of Vs. and Vitalogy, as well as unreleased recordings.

Bassist Jeff Ament and manager Kelly Curtis disclosed details of the Pearl Jam box set to Rolling Stone earlier this month. The reissues of Vs. and Vitalogy will feature new tracks, such as alternate versions of "Corduroy" and "Better Man." But the real gem of the Pearl Jam box set will be a recording of a 1994 concert in Boston. (The three possibilities are the April 10 and 11 shows from the old Boston Garden, or the rarities-filled April 12 concert from the Orpheum Theater.)

The Pearl Jam box set is part of the band's 20th anniversary celebration, which will also include a festival this summer and the release of a Cameron Crowe documentary about the band. There is no release date yet for the Pearl Jam box set.
