Eddie Vedder Uke Songs solo album coming in June

Eddie Vedder's Uke Songs solo album is due in June.

The lead single from Eddie Vedder's Uke Songs, which "could very well be an all-ukulele album," according to Antiquiet, is called "Longing to Belong." It's written from the perspective of the wife of one of the West Memphis Three members. Other tracks on Eddie Vedder's Uke Songs will include "I Know" and "Broken Hearted."

Uke Songs will be the first Eddie Vedder solo album since 2007's "Into the Wild" soundtrack, which featured his popular cover of Indio's "Hard Sun." Listen to "Longing to Belong" from Eddie Vedder's Uke Songs solo album:



Update (March 21, 2:57 p.m.): The Eddie Vedder solo album will actually be called Ukulele Songs and come out May 31 along with an Eddie Vedder solo DVD, "Water on the Road."
